Dr Atta to head UN committee on science, technology

KARACHI: The United Nations has designated Prof Dr Attaur Rahman administrator of the UN council on Scie­nce, Technology and Innovation.

Prof Rahman, previous government clergyman for science and innovation, will seat the initially meeting of the board of trustees in Bangkok on Monday.

The UN Economic Social Commission for Asia and Pacific will likewise hold its meeting in Bangkok that day.

A senior authority of the International Center for Che­m­ical and Biological Scie­nces, University of Karachi, said on Sunday that the board would examine ways and intends to advance science, innovation and development among the part states.
