PU pharmacy college certified by ISO

LAHORE, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an independent, non-governmental membership, and the world's largest developer of voluntary international standards, Punjab University College of Pharmacy (PUCP) for authentic analysis of drugs, has become the first college certified whole university public sector in Pakistan have reached this stage.

According to a press release, the ISO 9001-2008 certification awarded to college. After this certification reports for drug analysis are used to check mailed to the university labs as a certified and prepared in accordance with international standards. Previously there was only one laboratory in Lahore and Islamabad in a laboratory whose reports were considered reliable and certified laboratory and now is the third PUCP.

For that officials ISO certificate, a ceremony was held at the University of the auditorium and Pharmacognosy Lab was also inaugurated on the occasion. Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Chief Prof. PUCP Dr. Ahmed Butt Mobashir, Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Shazia Qureshi, ISO representative and Director of TÜV Austria Atif Hameed sales ends PUCP ISO Certification Imran Tariq was mainly faculty senior and a large number of students.

Speaking on the occasion, PU Rector Prof. Dr. Mujahid Kamran congratulated Dr Ahmed Mobashir to a new record and write history by obtaining ISO certification. He said it was wonderful PUCP had obtained ISO certification in the first attempt. He said it was unfortunate that Pakistan is a country of over 200 million people and there were only two of the existing laboratories. Prof. Dr. Mobashir said that if the use of standards related to drugs in Punjab Institute of Cardiology deaths and the message is created panic among the population, which sent samples of foreign drugs for laboratory analysis. On another occasion, he said that there was a big difference between the two statistical reports from two laboratories mentioned. ISO representatives Atif Hameed praised the university administration to its success.

Dr Shazia Qureshi said, ISO certification was an honor for the university, the university and the state.

Atif Hameed has ISO 9001: 2008 Certificate of PU-Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mujahid Kamran and Dr. Mobashir. Shields were distributed among the guests, like professors and research. Dr Mujahid Kamran also inaugurated pharmacognosy laboratory at the University.
