Sindh’s schools to remain closed on Iqbal Day

All open and tuition based schools crosswise over Sindh will stay shut on Wednesday (today) because of Iqbal Day.

The declaration came regardless of the government dismissing a proposition for announcing November 9 an open occasion.

A year ago, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's government had annulled general society occasion. In any case, it was declared as an official occasion by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) drove Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government.

The day is praised every year on November 9 to pay tribute to Pakistan's national artist Allama Muhammad Iqbal, who was conceived on the day in 1877, in Sialkot. Various projects, including classes, are being held to check the day.
