LAHORE - The Punjab Higher Education Commission yesterday held its seventh meeting to address the issues of unlawful sub-grounds, affiliations, and establishments of private division Degree Awarding Institutions in the area.
The meeting was led by PHEC Chairperson Prof Dr Mohammad Nizamuddin while Higher Education Secretary Nasim Nawaz Gen (r) Mohammad Akram, Gen (r) Mohammad Aslam, Dr Sohail Naqvi, Dr Zafar Iqbal Qureshi, Dr Najma Najam and different individuals went to the meeting.
The Commission, after point by point thoughts, chose that unlawful sub-grounds of any private segment DAI would not be permitted to work.
The consideration of the Commission was drawn towards recently settled sub-grounds of the University of South Asia at Gujrat without endorsement from Chancellor/Governor.
The commission demonstrated its genuine concerns and chose to guide the said college to instantly close the sub-grounds of Gujrat.
It was further included that DAIs can't open a sub-grounds without taking after the set down technique.
With a specific end goal to guarantee quality, uncommon boards of trustees will be constituted for the assessment of the execution and quality certification of existing sub-grounds of private part establishments.
No private degree granting foundation will be permitted to offer its establishment, alliance or study focus.

The commission chose to constitute an appraisal advisory group for the assessment of MPhil/PhD projects being offered by private part DAIs to guarantee quality and institutionalization of instruction in the territory.
The commission further chose to fortify the observing and assessment system of all DAIs.
