ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Huawei Technologies Co Ltd on Saturday went into a key organization and marked a Document of Understanding (DOU) to upgrade coordinated effort through innovative work activities went for advancing and empowering advanced education foundations for joint improvement of advances in Pakistan.
Huawei will help HEC to setup its R&D Laboratory in Pakistan. The DoU was marked amid the present visit of the HEC director and a gathering of bad habit chancellors to China. HEC Chairman Dr Mukhtar Ahmed and Huawei Technologies President Swift Liu consented to the arrangement.
The DOU will help advanced education foundations in Pakistan to profit by the aptitude of Huawei, particularly in R&D and innovation improvement. Also, the Huawei R&D office in Pakistan will guarantee directing trainings and workshops for specialists and researchers on innovations, which are being conveyed in Pakistan. Further, the office will give limit building opportunities and projects to research facility staff and experts for R&D exercises with spotlight on execution testing on cutting edge and rising advances being conveyed in Pakistan.
In 2006, Huawei won an agreement on focused premise from HEC for sending of first-ever fast data thruway foundation, Pakistan Education and Research Network (PERN) to interface colleges and degree granting organizations the nation over. Talking on the event, the HEC executive said that this year both associations would be celebrating tenth year of their organization, "as we began cooperating in September 2006".
