Model colleges’ staff not paid for months

ISLAMABAD: For months now, 718 staff individuals at model universities have not been paid their compensations.

As indicated by some staff individuals, representatives, who were paid every day including speakers, junior educators and other non-showing staff, from a percentage of the 20 model schools working under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) have been sitting tight for their pay rates throughout recent months.

Ehsan Bangash from Islamabad Model College for Boys, F-8, said non-showing staff had not been paid for six months while showing staff had not got their pay rates since August this year.

He said workers, who were paid day by day, have brought up the matter with the FDE and the Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD). Be that as it may, no outcomes have been seen yet. Some every day pay staff said they have been working at their schools for a long time; be that as it may, the FDE was yet to think of a lasting component to pay them on time.

Agents of the staff said they had requested that their pay be given to them immediately and that their administrations be regularized.

A non-showing worker said: "The executive of model universities has sent our record, yet it is lying pending with CADD."

Secretary CADD Khalid Hanif told Dawn he didn't know whether the staff were being paid and said he will investigate the matter.
