Defence Housing Authority Degree College for Women held 13th Convocation

The 13th Synod of Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Degree College for Women was at the college auditorium on Monday. University of Karachi (KU) Rector Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qaiser presided over the convocation ceremony.

No fewer than 194 graduates of the session of 2012 and 2013 were awarded BA and BSc degree B.Com passed for 19 masters on students.

Fourteen university students graduated in MA (Economics) in MA (English), five students were 68 students graduated 32 students and 68 BSc B.Com students had BA in humanities and social sciences.

Speaking on the occasion, the KU VC said "backwardness and regression of the nation is due to the deterioration in the quality of education."

He lamented that "education is not developed the culture of learning, knowledge and awareness in society" never its due priority in Pakistan and as such.

He praised DHA Degree College for women to maintain their glorious traditions of academic excellence and produce women graduates confident and dynamic, "the ambassador of goodwill for the country."

Previously, Dr. Farhat main Agha College in its annual report highlights the academic and extracurricular achievements of the university. She said that the university offers a good education for young women to promote their mental and physical abilities so that they can excel in different areas of practical life.

Ayesha Javed got for the first position of gold in MA (English) 2012 Sidra Aslam and Huma Rafiq always first and the second position in MA (Economics) 2012 Amina Dilshad and Irum forever Irshad first two positions in MA (Economics ) in 2013 and Barza Tariq to the first position in MA English 2013 students, the gold and silver medals are made for senior positions in the University at undergraduate Rija Zahid, first to intermediate examination in 2012 and Nida Zehra, the second in 2013 BA exams.

The Vice Chancellor also awarded medals and cash prizes to outstanding students of the College, the first three places in different universities and research council guaranteed. At the end of DHA Education Director Commodore (r) Talib Hussain presented a commemorative plaque on the KU VC.
